Ann's Holiday Wish List: A Few of My Favorite Things

(no candles or mugs allowed)

This list proves that thoughtful gifts don’t have to break the bank - or involve yet another scented candle. Whether it’s movement, mindfulness, or a day out with a friend, the best gifts are the ones that make people feel seen, loved and ready to take on the new year (with a glowy face and stretchy pants, of course).

Forget the cliche’ holiday staples. This list is all about leveling up your gift-giving game.  It’s curated with the grace of a yogi, the practicality of a minimalist, and just a sprinkle of sass. If you’re shopping for someone who loves movement, mindfulness, and a little bit of luxury, you’re in for a treat.

Ann’s Holiday Gift Guide (slash wishlist)

  1. Props That Make You Feel Like a Yogi and Pilates Pro

Blocks, straps, bolsters- oh my! Yoga and Pilates props aren’t just for beginners; they’re for anyone who’s ever thought, Wow, I’d love to reach my toes without pulling a hamstring.  Props support proper alignment, improve flexibility, better body awareness, enhance stability and balance.  I love me some props. Solid staples for your home studio: Gaiam block and strap, and the Ring of Fire of course.

  2. Skin Care for the Post Glow
After a good sweat session, nothing feels better than indulging in some self-care. My top picks?  Fresh- soy face cleanser and Kiehl's- ultra facial creme.

  3. A Membership That Moves You (Literally)
Know someone who’s always talking about “that amazing virtual yoga class”?  Gift them a membership to a video workout platform you know they’ll love. Whether it’s cycling, a pickle ball private, or virtual Yoga and Pilates with me, give the gift of longevety. Gift a month of The Graceful Yogi by making a donation and getting in touch.

  4. A Voucher for a Hike or Walk with a Friend.
Sometimes, the best fights don’t come in boxes. A voucher for a hike, walk or outdoor adventure is a thoughtful way to combine quality time with movement. Bonus: It costs nothing, but the memories are priceless.  Looking for something to wrap? Maybe a framed print of a photo of you and your favorite walking buddy.

  5. A Massage
A foot massage, thai massage - massage period. They boost circulation, detox your body, keep you flexible and reduce stress (the aging culprit). Look up a place in your neighborhood, or gift a friend a voucher for their next session.

  6. Luxe Yoga and Pilates Leggings
I was just recently asked what is my favorite pant, well I do still love love and love LuluLemon, I know spendy right?  But I still have The Align Pant from 10 years ago. Go for it! You will not be disappointed, LuluLemon High-Rise 28”, 25” and the crop 23”.

  7. A Plant Buddy That Encourages Growth
Get a low maintenance plant like a pothos or a succulent. Why? Because plants are like tiny reminders to breathe, grow, and occasionally soak up some sunlight.  Pick a cute pot and tie it up with a pretty Holiday ribbon.

  8. Curate the Ultimate Yoga/Pilates Kit in a Cute Bag.
Imagine a gift bag filled with yoga or pilates essentials: non-slip socks, cute hair ties, therabands, eye pillow, small ball prop.  Its basically the Swiss Army knife of yogi/pilates gifts-practical, adorable and totally customizable. Get creative and give the gift of health (true wealth).
